Child Care Plus has been independently owned and operated since 1994. Our program is fully licensed by Ontario Ministry of Education and we are an active participant of Quality Initiative Program, "Early Years Engage-Continuous quality improvement in Waterloo Region". We take great pride in exceeding the requirements and excelling in providing high quality care to our children and families.
On March 28, 2022, Ontario reached an agreement with the federal government on funding for the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) plan. The program is to reduce child care costs and improve access and quality across Ontario’s child care and early years sector. We are proud be a participant of CWELCC and have been offering fee reductions for all age groups. For more information about the CWELCC and the reduction of parent fees and rebates please visit the Region of Waterloo website or contact our office.
Our programs reflect upon and utilize the guiding principle in "How Does Learning Happen?", Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years to ensure high quality experiences lead to positive outcomes in relation to children's learning, development, health and well being. Through interest-and-inquiry based activities, children will have the opportunities to explore and grow their skills in cognition, literacy, language, social and emotional, independence and self-esteem, all essential for their future success at school.
Our quality programs are led by Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) in support of ECE apprentice, SNR Collaborative team and pedagogical analyst for quality enhancement. We are also proud to be a partner with local higher education institutes on providing field placement and coop opportunities to our competent future educators. The loving and affectionate educators practice positive encouragement for enhancing the learning potentials of each child while running age-appropriate programs under the provisions of Child Care and Early Years Act.
